Instagram has rolled out a new feature that lets users edit their comments after posting, giving them greater control over their interactions on the platform.
However, this option is time-bound. Users can only make changes within 15 minutes of posting a comment. Once this time limit passes, the comment can no longer be edited.
The feature is limited to text edits only. If a comment includes both text and an image, only the written part can be modified, while the photo remains unchanged.
Within the 15-minute window, users can edit their comments multiple times without any restriction on the number of changes.
After a comment is updated, it will carry an “Edited” label to show that modifications have been made. Despite this, other users won’t be able to see the edit history or previous versions of the comment.
