Indus Motors to export locally manufactured Toyota vehicles worldwide

Indus Motor Company (IMC) recently hosted a significant ceremony at its manufacturing facility in Port Qasim, Karachi, where the company unveiled its ambitious plans to export vehicles produced in Pakistan to international markets. This initiative represents a major advancement for the country’s automotive industry.

The event was attended by Federal Minister for Industries and Production, Rana Tanveer Hussain, the Chief Executive of the Engineering Development Board (EDB), Engineer Khuda Bakhsh, representatives from the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), and key Toyota executives, including Executive Vice President of Toyota Motor Asia, Kazunari Aguchi.

During the ceremony, IMC announced its plan to start exporting components of its popular vehicles, such as the Toyota Fortuner, Hilux, and Corolla Cross, to countries like Australia, Indonesia, and New Zealand. This move is expected to not only generate export revenue for Pakistan but also strengthen the country’s presence in the global automotive market.

IMC’s decision to expand its export operations is viewed as a positive development for Pakistan’s industrial sector, demonstrating the company’s commitment to quality manufacturing and global competitiveness.
