Indian Team and Indian Match Officials Refuse Visiting Pakistan for Champions Trophy

No Indian umpire or referee has been named in the ICC Champions Trophy panel.

Indian media reports that match referee Javagal Srinath and umpire Nitin Menon declined to travel to Pakistan for the tournament. Following their refusal, the ICC excluded them from the official lineup. Srinath reportedly took leave from the ICC, while Menon cited personal reasons for opting out.

The ICC has finalized the match officials, including Pakistani umpires in the panel. According to ICC rules, Indian officials are prohibited from overseeing India’s matches in Dubai.

Javagal Srinath, a former Indian pacer, played 67 Tests and 229 ODIs, taking 236 and 315 wickets, respectively.
