In the terror attack on DI Khan, four cops were injured.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]In the early hours of Friday, unidentified militants attacked a police checkpoint in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), injuring at least four officers.

The Takwara outpost of the Kalachi police station in DI Khan was attacked by terrorists who launched rockets and opened fire heavily, according to the Express News, injuring four officers. However, they were compelled to leave because of the police’s quick response.

The four hurt police officers were rushed right away to the hospital.

The police maintained that DPO Muhammad Shoaib Khan along with DSP Sadar Hafiz Adnan and the squad gave “a swift response” during which a few terrorists were reportedly killed and injured.

According to the law enforcement agencies, this “is the biggest terrorist attack on any police post in the history of DI Khan”.

Twenty or more militants encircled the checkpoint on three sides and began firing, employing contemporary weapons like PG-7 rockets and grenades.

Some terrorists were killed and others were injured during the 2.5-hour police operation, but they were all hauled away by their fellow insurgents.

After the incident, security was heightened throughout the district, especially in Kalachi. According to DPO Khan, the police “will not, at any cost, allow the terrorists’ aspirations to succeed.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
