Imran Khan’s sisters were stopped from meeting him, leading them to stage a sit-in near the Factory checkpoint outside Adiala Jail.
When the official visiting hours ended, Barrister Gohar and Khan’s sisters were denied entry. Police halted them at the Factory checkpoint, where Aleema Khan urged party workers to stay peaceful and guided them to slowly move back.
Aleema said they had no dispute with the police, calling them “our brothers” and appreciating their behavior. She explained that workers were being moved back because women were present and the police were already under pressure.
She highlighted that they had repeatedly been refused permission for visits, adding that during their last meeting, her sister did not discuss politics. She questioned who had ordered Imran Khan’s solitary confinement, noting they had been coming for weeks to seek answers.
Imran Khan’s sisters continued their sit-in at the checkpoint, joined by MNAs Junaid Akbar and Shahid Khattak, along with KP cabinet members Meena Khan, Shafee Jan, and other party leaders.
The route leading to Adiala Jail remains closed, with a heavy police deployment at the Factory checkpoint.
