The former premier’s plea was heard by Judge Zaheeruddin Kakar, who also gave notice to the parties involved and instructed the attorneys to deliver the affidavit at the subsequent hearing.
Imran had complained to the BHC over the initial information report (FIR) that had been filed in Quetta. In the petition, it was asserted that “the case against the PTI chairman has been registered illegally,” and it was asked of the court to “dismiss the complaint lodged in Bijli Road police station of the provincial capital.”
The legal team of the ousted premier and PTI Provincial President Qasim Khan Suri were also present on the occasion of the submission of the request to dismiss the case against the party chairman.

Earlier this week, an FIR was registered against Imran on a complaint from a citizen, accusing him of using hate speech against state institutions.
Khalil Kakar, a resident of Nawa Killi, submitted the FIR against Imran and it was also reported that the Balochistan police have left for Lahore to arrest the deposed prime minister.
There had been similar FIRs registered against PTI members Azam Swati and Shahbaz Gill on allegations of using foul language against state institutions. However, those cases were later quashed by the high court.
On March 5, a team of Islamabad police officers travelled to Lahore with court orders to arrest Imran, but the PTI leader eluded capture.
Imran had later filed a petition with a district and sessions court to have the arrest warrants revoked. The Sessions Court Judge, however, had denied his appeal and affirmed the warrants.
By deferring the non-bailable arrest warrants against the PTI head issued by a district and sessions court in the Toshakhana (gift repository) reference by March 13, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) later provided the PTI leader with a short reprieve.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
