Chief Justice Aamer Farooq led the division that issued the verdict, instructing Khan to provide surety bonds worth Rs1 million. The decision was made after the bench reserved the verdict following arguments from both sides.
Earlier this year, Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi were indicted by an accountability court in the 190 million pound settlement case. Both individuals denied the allegations.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) filed a corruption reference last year against Khan, his wife, and six others in connection with the £190 million settlement. They were accused of accepting land worth millions of rupees as a bribe from a real estate tycoon through the Al-Qadir Trust in exchange for protection.
The case originated when the British government uncovered £140 million in an account owned by the son of a prominent Pakistani real estate tycoon and his wife in 2019. The National Crime Agency froze the funds, suspecting them to be proceeds of criminal activities. Interestingly, neither the individuals nor their wife contested the account freeze. Following legal proceedings, the UK repatriated the laundered funds to the Pakistani government in 2019.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
