MWM Chief Allama Nasir Abbas Comments on PTI Founder Imran Khan’s Stance and Upcoming Negotiations
Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) leader Allama Nasir Abbas stated on Thursday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has made it clear that he does not seek any National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) or relief. In a discussion on Samaa TV’s “Nadeem Malik Live,” Abbas emphasized that Khan had expressed a desire to avoid any talk of returning to Banigala and clarified that the PTI founder has firmly stated he does not wish to go back there.
Abbas also confirmed that a meeting with the PTI founder is expected to take place either on Saturday or Monday, with the negotiation committee meeting set for the upcoming week.
Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal Discusses Government’s Digital and Economic Strategies
In the same program, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal shared insights on the government’s ongoing efforts to improve Pakistan’s infrastructure. He revealed that the government plans to expand the fibre optic network to enhance internet speed across the country. Iqbal stressed that the power sector has become increasingly digitized, contributing to the growth of large companies, which he argued should remain in Pakistan rather than relocating abroad.
He highlighted the importance of facilitating exports and emphasized that the nation’s economic focus should be on an “economic parade,” rather than any political disruptions. Iqbal also spoke on the Vision 2025 plan, which, according to him, had been hindered by chaos in 2018. He noted that progress in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning is already underway, with efforts aimed at improving these sectors to bolster the economy.

Iqbal emphasized the need for cooperation between the establishment, judiciary, and government for the country to advance. He pointed out that the politics of the nation should be performance-driven and stated that Pakistan could reach prosperity if policies remain stable for the next decade.
PML-N’s Bilal Azhar Kiyani on Negotiations and Economic Stability
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Bilal Azhar Kiyani expressed hope that PTI would be prepared for discussions on terrorism and other matters in the upcoming negotiations. Kiyani also noted the improvements in Pakistan’s economy, such as the increase in remittances, and reiterated the government’s desire for productive talks with the opposition. He stressed the importance of creating an image of cooperation and readiness for dialogue.
PTI’s Shaukat Yousafzai Comments on Upcoming Negotiations
PTI leader Shaukat Yousafzai revealed that the government committee has been informed that PTI founder Imran Khan will receive an update on the progress of talks in the next meeting. Yousafzai reaffirmed PTI’s commitment to making the negotiations successful and emphasized that if political stability is maintained, the government should focus on initiatives like “Uraan Pakistan.”
He concluded by saying that issues could be resolved if the government had the necessary power to address them.
