Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has instructed his party leadership to organize rallies across the country, ensuring they first obtain permission from local authorities and avoid any confrontations, according to sources speaking to Geo News on Wednesday.

The directive came during a meeting between Khan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur at Adiala Jail.

Earlier this week, Gandapur announced that PTI would hold its next public gathering in Islamabad soon, regardless of any obstacles. He made this statement while addressing a PTI public gathering in Swabi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, commemorating Khan’s one-year imprisonment.

Khan emphasized that he is open to negotiations within the framework of the law and Constitution and demanded the restoration of what he described as PTI’s “stolen” mandate. He urged the party to conduct rallies nationwide but stressed the importance of avoiding any illegal actions.

During the meeting, Khan expressed that he was comfortable in jail and was spending his time reading books on various topics.

Gandapur reiterated the party’s commitment to holding rallies across the country. He also proposed forming a committee to address issues related to good governance and corruption, suggesting that it should conduct free and transparent investigations. He asked Khan to recommend members for this committee.

According to sources, Khan included Muhammad Musaddiq Abbasi, the Special Assistant to the KP Chief Minister on Anti-Corruption, as a member of this committee.
