Imran Khan, the founding chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has called for a major protest march on Islamabad on November 24, 2024. This comes after he reportedly issued a “final call” for all his supporters across Pakistan to take to the streets. The announcement was shared by his sister, Aleema Khan, who met with him at Adiala Jail.
Imran Khan expressed frustration over what he perceives as the theft of the PTI’s mandate following the February 8 uprising, which he believes empowered the people but was quickly undermined by what he calls a “stolen mandate.” He also voiced concerns about the erosion of judicial independence, claiming that the Supreme Court’s freedom had been compromised.

The planned march will be the focal point of protests not only in Islamabad but also across the country and internationally. Imran Khan’s lawyer, Faisal Chaudhry, revealed that the PTI leader has set up a committee to oversee the organization of the march, though he did not disclose the names of those involved to protect them from potential arrest. The protests will continue until PTI’s demands are addressed, which include the reversal of the 26th amendment, the restoration of PTI’s mandate, and the release of individuals detained without trial.
Key members of PTI, including Ali Amin Gandapur, will lead protests from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with the march expected to be a significant political movement. Imran Khan’s team has described this protest as the “final call” to address what they see as injustices, and PTI officials in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, under the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, are preparing for a large-scale mobilization.
As the final call approaches, PTI’s leadership has framed this protest as a critical challenge to the government, alleging it is a “fake” government, and emphasizing their goal of restoring constitutional order, repealing false charges, and holding those responsible for undermining PTI accountable.
