Aleema Khan Announces Key Developments for PTI on November 24 Protest
RAWALPINDI – Aleema Khan, the sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, has confirmed that Imran Khan has allowed party leaders Ali Amin and Barrister Gohar to hold negotiations with the establishment.
Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail, Aleema Khan shared details of a recent meeting with her brother, stating that November 24 would be a pivotal day for PTI and its supporters. She reiterated that Imran Khan had specifically called for action on February 8 and now again on November 24, signaling the importance of this upcoming date.
Aleema Khan called on Pakistanis to rally once more, as they did on February 8, to reclaim their vote and stand for the party’s ideological values. She stressed that the party had become more ideological after February 8, describing how the vote was “stolen” and the constitution violated, a situation that Imran Khan has consistently highlighted.

She also reflected on the history of ideological elections in Pakistan, recalling the shift that occurred after 1985 when Zia-ul-Haq held non-party elections. “Since February 8, there has been no voting like that,” she said, emphasizing that PTI’s ideological struggle would continue despite the challenges.
Aleema Khan conveyed Imran Khan’s message that their fight for ideological rights would persist, but with a peaceful approach, and not through destruction. She also mentioned that preparations for the November 24 protest were progressing well and that Ali Amin and Barrister Gohar had been granted permission to hold talks with the establishment, with a clear mandate to discuss only three specific demands.
The demands included the release of unjustly imprisoned party leaders such as Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Umar Cheema, and Shah Mehmood Qureshi. Aleema Khan remarked that Dr. Yasmin Rashid had remained steadfast in her support for the party, even after the release of others like Andleeb Abbas, who condemned the events of May 9.
She further discussed the departure of several electables from the party, expressing hope that if Imran Khan is granted bail in the Toshakhana case, he would personally lead the November 24 protest. If bail is not granted, PTI supporters would protest on his behalf.
Aleema Khan also called for PTI members from Islamabad and Rawalpindi to participate in the protest, stating that her family’s request for a meeting had been denied despite attempts. She gave a deadline of Thursday for the cancellation of the protest call, adding that should negotiations succeed, November 24 would be transformed into a celebration for the party.
