[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Imran Khan, Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), appeared in the Lahore High Court on Monday, as the court heard his petition to quash multiple cases filed against him.
During the hearing, which was presided over by Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh, Imran’s counsel stated that new cases were being filed against his client on a daily basis, and he requested that police officials appear in court and explain whether an arrest was even necessary.
Imran revealed that he had learned of an upcoming operation at his Zaman Park residence during the Eid holidays.
The PTI chief claimed that the government did not simply want to imprison him, but also wanted to eliminate him, and he urged the court to issue strict orders prohibiting the government from carrying out any further operations.
Imran had previously approached the LHC in relation to all of the cases filed against him throughout Pakistan.

He claimed that 121 cases had been filed against him in Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi, and other cities in Pakistan illegally and with malicious intent to politically victimise him.
The former prime minister claimed that the government is harassing and arresting his party leaders and workers in order to prevent him from launching a campaign for the upcoming elections.

He asked the high court to stop the government from registering criminal cases without notifying the court and from taking any action against the petitioner until the petition was resolved.
The Lahore High Court (LHC) granted Imran protective bail in a sedition case until April 26 last week.
Separately, the IHC issued notices to the police after Imran filed a petition with the court asking it to dismiss a mutiny case filed against him at Ramna police station.
Meanwhile, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) informed the Islamabad High Court (IHC) that Imran Khan was refusing to cooperate in the Toshakhana case investigation.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
