Imran claims, new arrest attempts are underway despite LHCBA undertaking.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has called on its supporters to reconvene in Zaman Park as police make new efforts to apprehend party chairman Imran Khan.

PTI chairman Imran Khan alerted his followers in the early hours of Wednesday in a video message from his residence in Zaman Park that additional arrest efforts were ongoing.

Imran Khan claimed that the police had created a situation similar to that of illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir in Zaman Park, Lahore. He claimed that the way police have attacked PTI workers is unprecedented in Pakistani history.

He claimed that a large police force attacked a small group of PTI workers outside his home. What was the reason behind this attack, he asked.

Imran Khan stated that he gave an undertaking to the president of the Lahore High Court Bar Association, Ishtiaq A Khan, who then attempted to convey it to the DIG who was coming to arrest me, but the latter did not meet with the LHCBA president.

He claimed that DIG had no reason to refuse accept the agreement. “According to Section 76 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, if this surety bond is delivered to the arresting officer, he cannot arrest,” Imran explained.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
