[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), said on Tuesday that persons with firearms and arsonists were “planted amongst the demonstrators” during the May 9 protests against his incarceration.
According to the former premier, he “consistently” advised PTI employees “that whatever the provocation, they must only do peaceful protests.”
I recorded this on the 22nd of March after my attempted assassination in the Islamabad judicial complex on the 18th.

He reiterated that whenever a “independent inquiry” is held, he will “prove” that those “with guns and those who committed arson were planted amongst the demonstrators just as they were going to do in the plan I uncovered here in this video message,” Imran said, attaching a pre-recorded video from March 22, following the “assassination attempt” against him at the Islamabad Judicial Complex on March 18.
“They’ve devised another plan, and I’m informing everyone.” I’m telling the judges, and especially the Punjab police. “IG Punjab and IG Islamabad, with the help of the handlers, have devised another plan,” he added in the video.
He stated that they intended to carry out an operation outside his home in Zaman Park, using two squads chosen by both IGs to pose as PTI supporters and assassinate four to five police officers.
“Then they [the police] will launch an attack similar to the Model Town massacre, firing bullets and killing our people.” They would then go on to attack and assassinate me in the same manner as Murtaza Bhutto,” he said.
He alerted the Punjab police about impending murders of its officers merely to give them reason to attack him.
The PTI head urged his party workers “once again” not to become involved in any confrontation and to “not react, no matter what they do.”
“This time, if they try to incite you, you should not react in any way,” he explained.
PTI’s response to ISPR
The PTI maintained that the announcement made at the end of the Special Corps Commanders Conference was “very important” in a statement posted on the party’s official Twitter account.
Yesterday, the top military command decided that individuals involved in attacks on military sites and troops will face punishment through tribunals under Pakistani laws such as the Pakistan Army Act and the Official Secrets Act.
A Special Corps Commanders Conference at General Headquarters (GHQ), chaired by Chief of Army Staff Gen Syed Asim Munir, also warned that restraint would no longer be exercised in the event of an attack on military installations.
According to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement, the forum took a full stock of the law and order situation in the previous few days, which was “created to achieve vested political interests.”
According to the PTI, the incidences of violence and confusion in the military were “a step in the right direction” because they were the result of a well-thought-out plan. The pandemonium also affected certain government buildings, military installations, and hundreds of innocent and peaceful individuals, according to the statement.

“As the largest federal party that upholds the Constitution and democracy in Pakistan, we believe that the Pakistan Constitution is the source of our individual and collective guidance,” the statement said. It went on to say that this “social contract” contained the solution to every type of complex crisis situation.
According to the statement, the peaceful protest was a “natural consequence of PTI chief Imran Khan’s kidnapping,” and the “fundamental democratic right to peaceful protest was guaranteed by Pakistan’s Constitution.”
According to the PTI’s media department, “incontrovertible evidence was available that armed miscreants were inducted into the ranks of peaceful protestors as part of a well-planned plan.” It went on to say that the miscreants “burned” everything down while also opening fire on harmless individuals.
According to the statement, dozens of innocent bystanders were killed and hundreds were injured in “miscreant” shootings.
“This is the only incident of its kind during the 27-year peaceful political, legal, and constitutional struggle, following the November 3 assassination attack on [party] chairperson Imran Khan.”
According to the report, PTI employees were subjected to mass fire alongside civilians during the incident.
“Under the guise of chaos and riots, an attempt was made to pit Pakistan’s biggest political force and the armed forces against one another,” the report alleged.
The statement demanded a “all-around investigation” to determine who was behind the “unusual incident of sedition and chaos.”
It went on to say that after being released from illegal incarceration on the orders of the Supreme Court, Imran advocated holding an independent probe into the events of May 9 in his address to the nation.
According to the statement, the PTI has “sufficient evidence” to indicate that officers from several agencies were “involved in arson and firing at some locations.” The idea, it claimed, was to “spread chaos that could be blamed on the PTI to justify the ongoing crackdown on it.”
“Moreover, [the] Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf believes unequivocally in the supremacy of the Constitution and the rule of law.
The party saw “personal and group prejudices, unnecessary haste in the implementation of the law, and turning a blind eye to the facts by focusing on power and authority” as “poison for the social and state order,” according to the statement.
“In our opinion, one person or institution acting as judge, jury, and executioner is contrary to basic principles of justice and is detrimental to the establishment of justice,” it said, adding that such a practise had no place in a civilised, democratic, and constitutional system.
The PTI “fully acknowledged” the necessity of broad agreement among political parties on national concerns. It went on to say that “the public support received by any political force is the measure of its status and acceptance.”
“The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf unanimously believes that the republic is entitled to sovereignty after the supreme authority of the Lord Almighty.” “The people are empowered to make national decisions and policies through their elected representatives,” it continued.
“Any kind of agreement against the purpose of democracy between unconstitutional, non-democratic, or inorganic political groups only leads to the promotion of uncertainty and the intensification of instability,” according to the Central Media Department.
The statement emphasised the importance of restoring the “right to make a decision to the people through quick, fair, and transparent elections.”
“The path of this national journey should be paved in accordance with the Constitution, which is founded on unity rather than conflict.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
