[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]Imran Khan, Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has stated again that he would resign if those in power could persuade his party that it would be advantageous to Pakistan.
Addressing his supporters via video link from his Zaman Park mansion in Lahore on Wednesday, the former prime minister said he would provide another chance to dialogue and form a committee to deliberate with people in authority in the country on Thursday (tomorrow).
“Despite our best efforts, we are unable to see how elections in October will benefit Pakistan.” Even I am willing to leave politics if they can persuade my team that it will serve the country,” Imran insisted.
The PTI chief stated that Pakistan’s Supreme Court judges are the country’s last hope. Democracy is being undermined in the country, he claims, adding that the Pakistani Constitution has been violated since May 14. “In Pakistan, there is a jungle rule. Now it is up to the Supreme Court’s judges to band together to safeguard democracy, or otherwise history will never forgive you,” he emphasised.
Giving his employees and supporters optimism, Khan stated, “Though the night is dark, you must face it with courage and patience.” “I am ready to face anything, but I will stand until the last ball.” I know this darkness can’t last. “I am not willing to surrender and accept the same from my workers and supporters,” he stated, adding that dying for freedom would be preferable to accepting servitude.

Khan stated that the country’s fundamental rights had been suspended. “Over 10,000 members of my party have been imprisoned.” Around 25 people have chosen martyrdom, while hundreds of more are being treated in hospitals for bullet wounds. Even prisoners of war have certain basic rights, but PTI workers have none because of an arson attack on the Core Commander House in Lahore,” he complained.
He questioned why the country’s human rights advocates remain mute in the face of ongoing Nazism. “Why is the media silent on current atrocities?” It is occurring with the PTI today, and it will happen with others tomorrow; no one will be safe. “Those who believe that oppression kills an ideology do not understand human history,” he said.
Human rights violations are on the upswing nowadays, according to the former prime minister, particularly what occurred to Shireen Mazari and other female party workers and supporters. “There is no precedent in the country’s history.” The situation is so bad that you can’t leave jail unless you use the magic phrase of disassociating yourself from the PTI in front of the media.”
Khan claimed that they have sunk so low that PTI leaders have stated that they have been threatened with picking their children if they do not dissociate themselves from the PTI. “And once you announce your departure from the PTI, everything returns to normal, but it will not harm the party but democracy in the country.”
He once again sought an impartial investigation of the May 9 incidents, claiming that once the investigation is held, the faces of the true perpetrators will be revealed.
In response to the NAB’s investigation into the Al-Qadir Trust Case, Khan stated, “The National Accountability Bureau claims that I benefited from this amount which was deposited in the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) account.”
“It was the federal cabinet’s decision to keep the transaction confidential as an agreement between a real estate tycoon and the UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA), otherwise this amount could not come to Pakistan because we would have to prove in the UK’s court that this money was laundered from Pakistan.” We were told that Pakistan had spent over $100 million on attorneys and legal fees but had not received a single penny back. The cabinet agreed to put this money back into the SCP account. Now, if the NAB believes something improper occurred in this transaction, it should dispute the case in a UK court and have this cash returned to the public treasury.”
Al-Qadir Trust, according to Imran, has nothing to do with this transaction. This project was financed by a business mogul, and the government approved it because he is one of Pakistan’s largest developers.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
