According to the FIR, the party workers attempted to access the premises by smashing the gate and surrounded the court complex from all sides.
The PTI members also cornered and tormented the police officers and set fire to the police checkpoint in Sector G-11, according to the FIR.
A 9mm weapon, official radio, and Rs20,000 were stolen from an official vehicle, while demonstrators also stole 8 anti-riot gear from police officers, according to the FIR.
Protesters reportedly burned two government vehicles and seven motorcycles parked in the parking lot, according to the report, and they destroyed 16 automobiles and four motorcycles outside the judicial building with sticks and stones.
The case includes provisions for terrorism, interference in government affairs, destruction to public and private property, and other offences.
A day earlier, police and PTI activists clashed as Imran’s convoy approached the judicial complex ahead of his appearance before the district and sessions courts in the Toshakhana case.
The PTI chairman’s vehicle was stopped only 100 metres from the judicial complex’s gate, with police blaming party activists for blocking the path and the PTI claiming law enforcement was restricting Imran’s movement.
Despite the fact that court had ended, the PTI leader was unable to appear before the judge.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
