A group of robbers posing as fake police and army officers stole over Rs. 400,000 worth of foreign currency from a student in the F-10 area of Islamabad. The incident, which has raised concerns about security and impersonation, was reported to the Shalimar Police Station.
According to the victim’s account, the student had just exchanged Pakistani currency for euros at a local money exchange when he was approached by five unknown individuals. These individuals, employing a cunning ruse, managed to relieve him of the foreign currency, along with his ID card, ATM card, and three mobile phones.

The robbers executed their plan by having two of their members pose as police officers and another as military personnel, adding a layer of credibility to their deceit. This tactic not only facilitated the theft but also left the victim in a state of shock and confusion.
Authorities at the Shalimar Police Station in Islamabad have launched an investigation into the robbery, urging the public to report any suspicious activities or encounters with individuals posing as officials. The police are also reviewing CCTV footage from the area to identify and apprehend the culprits involved in this audacious crime.
