Pakistan Shaheens Squad Announced for Warm-Up Match Against West Indies
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a 14-member squad for the Pakistan Shaheens as they prepare to face the West Indies Test team in a three-day warm-up match. The match is scheduled to take place at Islamabad Club in Islamabad, starting on Friday, 10 January 2025.
Imam-ul-Haq to Lead Shaheens
Imam-ul-Haq, the talented Test batter, has been appointed as the captain of the Pakistan Shaheens. Alongside Imam, the standout pacer Musa Khan, who claimed an impressive 38 wickets in just five matches during the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy this season, is also included in the squad.

Arrival and Training Schedule
Both the Pakistan Shaheens and West Indies teams are set to arrive in Islamabad on Monday, 6 January 2025. The Shaheens will begin their training on 7 January at the Islamabad Club, while the West Indies team will hold two training sessions on 8 and 9 January.
Preparations for the Pakistan-West Indies Test Series
This warm-up match will serve as preparation for the two-match Test series between Pakistan and the West Indies, which begins on 17 January 2025 in Multan. Both Test matches will be part of the ICC World Test Championship cycle and will be played at the same venue. The West Indies have already named their squad, and the PCB is expected to announce Pakistan’s squad shortly.
