IHRA Moves to Shut Down Unregistered Clinics

The Islamabad Healthcare Regulatory Authority (IHRA) has announced strict action against Unregistered Clinics operating in the federal capital. The authority has issued a final warning and given healthcare facilities 15 days to comply with registration rules.

According to IHRA officials, all healthcare establishments must complete their registration process within the given deadline. Facilities are also required to submit all necessary documents and pay applicable registration fees. Failure to meet these requirements will result in legal action.

IHRA stated that operating medical services without proper registration is illegal under the IHRA Act. The authority warned that continued violations would not be tolerated. Clinics and medical centers found operating unlawfully may be sealed.

Officials explained that inspections are already underway across Islamabad. Special teams have been formed to monitor compliance. These teams will identify Unregistered Clinics and take immediate action where needed.

The regulatory body also clarified that even partially registered facilities will face action if documentation is incomplete. Clinics that fail to meet safety, staffing, or operational standards may also be shut down. IHRA said patient safety remains its top priority.

To ensure transparency, IHRA has published a list on its official website. The list includes healthcare facilities that have not completed documentation or failed to submit registration fees. Authorities advised clinic owners to review the list and act quickly.

IHRA warned that facilities ignoring the final notice could face closures without further warning. Legal proceedings may also be initiated against repeated offenders. Officials said enforcement will be carried out strictly and fairly.

Health experts welcomed the move and said regulation is necessary. They believe unchecked medical practices can put lives at risk. Proper oversight helps improve service quality and patient trust.

IHRA emphasized that the campaign is not meant to harass healthcare providers. The goal is to ensure safe, standardized medical care for citizens. Authorities urged owners of Unregistered Clinics to complete registration within the given timeframe.
