The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday ordered a stay on the auction of PTI leader Zulfi Bukhari’s property, directing the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to provide complete records of the case.
A division bench, comprising Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir and Justice Inam Amin Minhas, heard the petition filed by Sakina Bukhari, sister of Zulfi Bukhari. The petition challenged NAB’s decision to auction the property without proper notice to the petitioner.
During the hearing, Babar Awan, representing Sakina Bukhari, argued that the auction process was initiated without informing his client. He said the family only learned about the auction after an advertisement was published, leaving no opportunity to review the proceedings.
Awan also highlighted that no official documents had been shared regarding potential buyers, and the land, measuring approximately 2,100 kanals, had not yet been divided among co-owners. He clarified that he represents Sakina Bukhari alone, although other owners are involved in the case.
After hearing the arguments, the IHC bench ordered an immediate halt to the auction process. NAB was directed to produce complete records of the property, ensuring transparency in all proceedings.
The court also adjourned the hearing until the third week of November, stressing that all steps taken by NAB must comply with legal requirements. The bench emphasized that proper notice and documentation are essential before proceeding with any auction.
This ruling by the IHC reinforces the importance of protecting property rights and ensuring legal transparency. It also highlights the court’s role in overseeing accountability processes and safeguarding the interests of petitioners and co-owners in disputed property matters.

The stay ensures that the auction of Zulfi Bukhari’s property cannot proceed until NAB fully complies with the court’s directives, preventing any unlawful transfer or sale.
