IESCO refers power shortfall due to extreme heat and suffocation

The Islamabad Electric Supply Company(IESCO) asks citizens to cooperate as the capital is facing severe electricity outages.

For the first time in the history of IESCO, a load of 3036 megawatts has been recorded on the distribution system, from which the severity of the weather can be estimated. The rate of fault and transformer damage has increased due to which there is a disruption in the supply of electricity.

Despite the severe weather and heat, IESCO officers are present in the field along with the staff. It is requested to the consumers that the temporary interruption in the supply of electricity due to the faults should not be considered as load shedding. Management is being done in view of 2 to 4 hours of load across the region.

As soon as the power supply improves, the load management period will be reduced. The customers are requested to cooperate. Be careful in using electricity, especially from 6 pm to 11 pm. We are at your service. Striving for
