The English bowler drew jeers and sneers when he brought up the most recent Ashes series, which England lost against Australia by a score of 4-0. Stuart Broad expressed his thoughts on the challenging series, saying that the COVID-19 limits on training facilities, travel, and socialisation prevented him from viewing it as a genuine series.

Although the epidemic actually presented some challenges for the players, many people took Stuart Broad’s remarks as a sign of weakness and denial.
Iceland Cricket responded to Stuart Broad’s remarks by jokingly tweeting that all Test results going back to 1877 should be thrown out because they weren’t permitted to play. The remark was obviously intended to poke fun at Broad’s inability to see a series as legitimate just because it did not adhere to his particular criteria.
