An International Cricket Council (ICC) delegation is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan within hours to address the ongoing dispute following Pakistan’s decision to boycott its T20 World Cup match against India.
Sources reveal that the ICC delegation, including the vice chairman, has been tasked with persuading the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to reconsider its decision and possibly resume the high-profile match.
During the visit, the ICC vice chairman is expected to hold a series of meetings with the PCB chairman and other senior board officials in Lahore to discuss potential solutions. The focus will be on finding common ground and exploring ways to resolve the standoff surrounding the Pakistan-India clash.
According to insiders, the ICC has specifically entrusted its vice chairman with opening dialogue with the PCB leadership, aiming to reach a mutual understanding that could allow the match to proceed.
