According to a press release, the ICC has been in continuous discussions with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to ensure the team’s participation. The council provided detailed security assessments, comprehensive venue-level safety plans, and formal assurances from Indian authorities. These evaluations confirmed that Bangladesh faces no credible threat while in India.
“Over the past several weeks, the ICC engaged in constructive dialogue with the BCB to enable Bangladesh’s participation in the tournament,” an ICC spokesperson said.
