A woman in Hyderabad, Sindh, was tortured to death by her son and daughter-in-law following a dispute over throwing garbage inside the house.
The victim, identified as Kulsoom, was killed in the Gujrati Paray area. Police have shifted her body to Civil Hospital for a medico-legal examination.

Sajjad, another son of the victim, stated that the altercation began when his mother stopped the daughter-in-law from throwing garbage. The elder son, Muhammad Ali, and his wife then pushed and tortured her. Sajjad also mentioned previous instances of abuse by the duo.
In a similar incident in November 2024, a son killed his mother with an axe in Haiderabad Thal, Bhakkar, following a family dispute. The 55-year-old victim, Manzooran Mai, succumbed to severe head injuries while being transported to the hospital. The accused, Tauqeer, fled the scene, and police are investigating both cases.
