The family of Pakistani actress Humaira Asghar has now agreed to claim her body, according to police officials. Her brother-in-law contacted authorities again, confirming that he and Humaira’s brother would travel to Karachi to take custody of the body.
Police stated that the relatives are expected to arrive in Karachi within 5 to 6 hours. Earlier, officials had clarified that only a blood relative would be permitted to receive the body, and the final decision regarding Humaira’s burial will rest entirely with the family.

Initially, Humaira Asghar’s father had declined to receive her body, prompting her brother-in-law to step forward and assume responsibility.
Humaira Asghar’s body was discovered two days ago in an apartment located in DHA Phase 6, Karachi. According to the post-mortem report, the body is believed to be around 6 to 8 months old, and the cause of death has been reserved for further examination.
The case continues to develop as the family makes arrangements for the final rites.
