Authorities investigating the mysterious death of Pakistani actress and model Humaira Asghar Ali have broadened the scope of their inquiry to determine whether her death was natural, accidental, a suicide, or a homicide.
According to investigative sources, Humaira was undergoing serious financial distress in the months before her death. Her nearly decomposed body was found in her DHA Karachi apartment. On October 7, 2024, she reportedly messaged 10 individuals, including her brother Salman, on WhatsApp, writing, “Hello, I want to talk to you,” but received no responses.
Investigators revealed she had also asked close contacts for financial help, but none responded. A special investigation team has been formed, and statements from 63 individuals have been recorded so far. Digital and forensic evidence, including data from Humaira’s mobile phones, tablet, and laptop, is being examined. Investigators gained access using passwords noted in her personal diary.
No medications were found at the scene, and Humaira’s hands were clutched to her chest. Her gym trainer told officials she exercised daily for three hours, indicating she was physically fit.
Discovery of the Body:
Humaira’s body was discovered on July 8, 2025, when Gizri Police and a court bailiff forced entry into her fourth-floor rented apartment in DHA’s Ittehad Commercial Area to execute an eviction order.
Her landlord had taken legal action after she failed to pay rent since April 2024. Neighbors reported a foul smell in the area, but detection was delayed due to an adjacent apartment remaining vacant until February 2025.
The main and balcony doors were locked from inside, suggesting she was alone at the time of her death. Investigations continue to uncover the truth behind her untimely demise.
