HPE Unveils World’s Fastest Supercomputer At GITEX 2025

At GITEX 2025 in Dubai, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) showcased its latest Cray supercomputing systems. The highlight of the display is a 100% fanless direct liquid cooling architecture, designed to power some of the world’s most powerful and energy-efficient supercomputers, including El Capitan.

HPE’s advanced cooling technology allows supercomputers to operate efficiently while managing the rising power demands caused by increasing AI workloads. The fanless system not only reduces electricity consumption but also lowers carbon emissions and noise levels in data centers.

The new architecture improves server density, enabling companies to house more computing power in half the floor space compared to conventional systems. This makes it an ideal solution for organizations handling large-scale AI projects and high-performance computing operations.

At GITEX 2025, HPE emphasized the importance of sustainable AI computing. Direct liquid cooling is considered the most effective method to maintain performance while reducing operational costs. Experts noted that as AI adoption grows, energy-efficient cooling solutions like HPE’s fanless system will be critical for future data center infrastructure.

The company also highlighted its role in developing top-performing supercomputers featured on the Green500 list. These systems are recognized globally for their energy efficiency and high performance, showcasing HPE’s commitment to both innovation and sustainability.

In addition to cooling improvements, HPE’s next-generation accelerators enhance computational efficiency, allowing faster processing while minimizing energy waste. The company stated that these innovations will help businesses scale AI operations without compromising on efficiency or environmental responsibility.
