Many Internet users laugh and ridicule him, but his bizarre songs have become him Pakistan’s largest Internet celebrity. Taher Shah stated in an interview that the criticism just reinforces his will to continue.
The British newspaper The Independent describes Shah as “the world’s most bizarre YouTube Star.” The Pakistani pop phenomenon is not a trained singer, but rather a businessman from Karachi in southern Pakistan. He decides to sing ridiculous songs in English, a language he hardly understands. While fans were expecting a fresh funny song, Shah has something much more substantial to share this time. The 42-year-old singer revealed his Hollywood debut, titled Eye to Eye – the same name as his first song published ten years ago – calling it the start of a new era. Based on a gripping story of eternal love, the film promises to be a one-of-a-kind and spectacular cinematic experience.
“I am very excited to begin this new chapter of my career with Eye to Eye.” This project means a lot to me, and I can’t wait to share it with the rest of the world,” Shah said on Twitter on Saturday. “It’s a story that speaks to me deeply, and I believe it will touch the hearts of audiences all over the world.”
Shah presented his concept for the film while playing numerous roles in the production, including scriptwriter, dialogue writer, and lead actor. “Through Eye to Eye, I hope to showcase my creativity and originality on a global scale.” It’s a project that marks a new chapter in my artistic path, and I’m looking forward to bringing something absolutely special to the screen.”

Shah on handling criticism:
Shah has faced a barrage of criticism from Internet users, but he seems unfazed. In just four days, his single song, Angel, was viewed four million times on YouTube. In an exclusive interview with the German tabloid DW, Shah stated that criticism and derision do not disturb him. Instead, he is intent on disseminating messages of humanity to all and everyone.
When asked if he had ever taken vocal lessons, the artist told the publication, “I do things my way.” People seem to like it, which makes me happy. “I am delighted that my songs are well-liked all over the world.” “I have introduced a new way of singing,” he continued. We are continually learning new things. What matters most is what you want to accomplish. And I’ve accomplished a lot – millions of people value my work, and nothing else is more important to me.
His visuals are as captivating as his music. How does he come up with them? “They are figments of my imagination.” “They are completely my creations, based on my observations,” he explained.
On the Internet, his music had gone viral. Many individuals were making fun of him at the same time. When asked how he handles criticism, he revealed that his family is supportive of his profession. “They are unconcerned about the criticism. Again, everyone has the right have an opinion. Criticism teaches me new things. “I believe in myself and will work hard to achieve my objectives.”
When asked if he plans to make a music album, Shah replied, “It is too early to confirm that.” I’m working on various projects, all of which are taking a long time to complete. Many people write songs, but the message is what matters to me. My message in Angel is that we should love one another since nothing is superior to humans. It is the message that has made me and my songs so well-known.”
