Auto manufacturers are still wrestling with challenges related to limited inventory and parts, and Honda recently joined the ranks of companies facing these issues.

Honda has decided to temporarily halt its manufacturing plant operations for a one-week period, commencing from October 24 and concluding on October 31. The company’s official statement included a provision for updates should there be any alterations to this plan.

It’s worth mentioning that Honda had previously suspended production for an extended period. Back in March, the automotive giant had halted its manufacturing operations, and this suspension persisted until May.

In a similar vein, Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) also declared a production halt due to inventory shortages. Their production activities are anticipated to remain on hold until November 17.

When both of these manufacturers eventually recommence production, they are likely to introduce new pricing for their vehicles. This is due to a significant improvement in the exchange rate between the US dollar and the Pakistani rupee, which has shifted from Rs. 307 per US Dollar to Rs. 280. Since the automobile industry heavily relies on imports, this change is expected to result in forthcoming reductions in car prices, provided the exchange rate remains stable at its current level.
