Local Holiday Declared In One Of The Districts Of Punjab

The Kasur district administration has officially announced a holiday on Saturday, August 23. The holiday is in connection with the 268th annual Urs of renowned Sufi poet Hazrat Baba Bulleh Shah (RA).

Offices and Schools to Remain Closed

As per the notification, all government offices, schools, and public institutions in Kasur will stay closed on the holiday. The decision allows locals to participate in the spiritual and cultural celebrations.

Urs Celebrations Begin August 22

The three-day Urs will start on August 22 and conclude on August 24. Devotees from across the country are expected to attend. The events include Sufi poetry, recitations, and traditional rituals.

Hazrat Baba Bulleh Shah’s Urs is one of the most important spiritual events in Punjab. Each year, thousands of visitors come to Kasur to pay their respects at his shrine.
