Here Is The Scenario For The Pakistan Team Of Qualification

Pakistan’s Super Eight campaign at the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 began frustratingly after their opening match against New Zealand was abandoned due to relentless rain.

Persistent showers at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo continued even after the toss, forcing officials to declare the fixture a no-result without play.

Both Pakistan and New Zealand received one point each, leaving qualification scenarios open as the group stage standings remain tightly contested.

Pakistan now have two matches remaining, against England and Sri Lanka, meaning their semi-final hopes are still firmly within their control.

Winning both matches would lift Pakistan to five points, a total widely considered strong enough to secure a place in the tournament’s last four.

However, a single win would leave them dependent on other results, while failing to win either match would almost certainly end their qualification chances.
