The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced scholarships for undergraduate programs in engineering and architecture at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
Under this initiative, international students, including Pakistani students, can apply for selected undergraduate programs. However, Pakistani applicants must apply through the HEC, and direct applications to BUET will not be accepted.
The scholarships cover a range of engineering and architecture programs, providing students with an opportunity to study at one of Bangladesh’s top universities. The HEC aims to promote higher education opportunities for Pakistani students abroad.
Applicants are required to submit several documents, including the BUET application form, academic certificates and result cards, matriculation and intermediate result cards, O-Level and A-Level equivalence certificates, a valid passport, three recent passport-size photographs with a blue background, and proof of English proficiency.
The HEC has emphasized that all applications must be complete and submitted through official channels before the deadline of January 16, 2026. Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered.
This scholarship program not only allows Pakistani students to pursue quality higher education but also strengthens academic ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh. It offers exposure to international teaching standards and enhances career opportunities for graduates.
The HEC has advised students to carefully check the eligibility criteria and ensure that all documents meet the requirements. This ensures timely processing and avoids disqualification.
Interested students can contact the HEC or visit its official website for further guidance on the application process. The scholarships are highly competitive, and applicants are encouraged to prepare all required documents accurately.
