The weather office has forecasted rain for Islamabad, Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan on Thursday, with possible showers in parts of eastern Balochistan. In the Samahni area of Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) and its surroundings, there has been thunderstorm activity, and Koh-e-Sulaiman, Shirani, and Danasar have experienced heavy rain for several hours.
Rain is also expected in Karachi, Thatta, Sajawal, Hyderabad, Dadu, Badin, Tharparkar, Umarkot, Mithi, Mirpur Khas, Sanghar, and Nawabshah this evening or night, according to the Meteorological Department. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Guliyat, Kashmir, and Mount Sulaiman, there is a risk of flooding in local rivers due to heavy rain.

On Wednesday, Turbat recorded the highest temperature in the country at 48 degrees Celsius. Nokundi, Dalbandin, and Sibi recorded 46 degrees Celsius, Nawabshah 44 degrees Celsius, and Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Bannu 42 degrees Celsius. Karachi, Multan, and Muzaffarabad recorded 41 degrees, Peshawar 40 degrees, Islamabad, Lahore, and Quetta 39 degrees, and Gilgit 35 degrees.
