Heatwave Alert Issued for Karachi and Southern Sindh Starting May 25

The Met Department has issued a heatwave warning for Karachi and southern districts of Sindh, effective from May 25, due to a low-pressure system over the Arabian Sea expected to raise temperatures significantly.

Director General Anjum Rizvi stated that temperatures in Karachi could reach up to 40°C, with the heat index making it feel 3 to 4 degrees hotter. Residents have been urged to take necessary precautions to avoid heat-related illnesses.
