Hazim Bangwar claims to have written songs for Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande.

Hazim Bangwar, the assistant commissioner for North Nazimabad, used to write songs and sell them to big music labels and Hollywood singers while in college to earn some money. He revealed that he has worked with Nicki Minaj, Jesse J, and Ariana Grande to name a few.

Bangwar made a guest appearance on The Mathira Show where he spoke about his upbringing in the UK, and the United States and why he left his rather luxurious life, which featured limousines and record labels, to become a commissioner in Pakistan.

Upon which song he wrote for the above-mentioned singers, Bangwar named Minaj’s High School. “I wrote Nicki Minaj’s High School and so, you sell songs. The same song was on her album, it was a single too and the rest is history,” he said.

Bangwar discussed how his thoughts was constantly split between the arts and academia while giving a brief account of his life. He studied law and earned a degree in fashion marketing while pursuing his musical career. “I completed my LLB, followed by fashion marketing and music label signing. So I had records, travel arrangements, limos, and first-class tickets, and I was confident I was prepared. Though I was aware of my success, visiting Pakistan brought home the harsh reality.

The 29-year-old stated that he had returned because of Pakistan’s declining standard of living. “I’d imagine that while I’m travelling first class on Emirates, it must be difficult for locals to take the public transportation system. I’m eating the best food possible from the best restaurants while everyone else in this area is going hungry. What am I doing? I would ask. I felt removed from my surroundings. I had the impression that I was doing too little there.

The multi-talented commissioner revealed that he made the decision to stop whining about the opposing realities and took and passed the commissioner exam. “After passing the test, I entered the field. I was an Assistant Commisioner for the Central region at first, and I’m currently the Assistant Commisioner for North Nazimabad.

Upon the announcement of his appointment, Bangwar’s photos quickly went viral online, turning him into an overnight sensation. Users were happy to have a knowledgeable and fashionable commissioner among them.
