Karachi Kings’ star pacer Hasan Ali has made PSL history by surpassing Wahab Riaz to become the tournament’s highest wicket-taker. The record-breaking moment occurred during a thrilling match against Quetta Gladiators at the National Stadium, Karachi on Friday.
Record-Breaking Feat Against Quetta Gladiators
Batting first, Karachi Kings put up a strong total of 175/7. In reply, Quetta Gladiators faltered under pressure, finishing at 119/9 in their 20 overs. Hasan Ali delivered a match-winning spell, taking 3 crucial wickets and spearheading Karachi’s dominant 56-run victory.

In doing so, he overtook Wahab Riaz’s previous PSL record of 113 wickets in 87 innings. Hasan now holds 116 wickets in just 84 innings — a milestone sealed when he dismissed Quetta’s Hassan Nawaz for a mere single.
