Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf has been ruled out of the remainder of the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025 in the USA due to a hamstring injury, his franchise San Francisco Unicorns confirmed on Monday. The injury comes as a major blow both to the team and Pakistan’s national side ahead of a busy international calendar.
Rauf sustained the injury during the ongoing MLC tournament and will miss all remaining matches. In his absence, New Zealand pacer Ben Lister has been named as his replacement in the Unicorns squad.

Rauf had been in top form, leading the wicket-taking charts with 17 dismissals in eight games. His fiery spells were central to the Unicorns’ strong campaign, and his absence will be deeply felt as the tournament progresses.
The setback also raises concerns over Rauf’s availability for Pakistan’s upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh. While the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not issued an official update, initial reports suggest he is likely to miss the series.
The Pakistan team is set to begin its training camp on July 8 in Karachi, with the squad scheduled to depart for Bangladesh on July 16. The T20I series will begin on July 20.
