Pakistani actress and model Hania Aamir has strongly responded to a viral video circulating on social media, stating that it is a deepfake created using artificial intelligence (AI).

The video, which emerged earlier this week, shows a woman resembling Hania Aamir in bold poses and revealing clothing. Shared across various social media platforms, the footage was falsely identified as the actress by an entertainment site.

Hania took to Instagram to clarify that the video is not hers, expressing frustration at the spread of misinformation. “The bold video making rounds is fake and generated using AI,” she stated. She criticized media outlets for failing to verify content and called for greater accountability in reporting.

She also voiced concerns over the unregulated use of AI technology, highlighting the need for stricter laws to prevent the misuse of such tools in media. “Someone needs to explain to these showbiz websites that this video is not mine,” Hania added, stressing the importance of protecting individuals from AI-generated content.

Her statement has ignited discussions about the growing issue of deepfakes and their impact on celebrities, underlining the urgent need for regulatory frameworks to safeguard privacy in the digital age.
