The military wing of Hamas has said Israel refused a ceasefire plan that would have released all captives held in Gaza. Hamas warned it is ready for a long fight if talks fail again.

In a video released on Friday, Abu Obeida, the spokesperson for Hamas’s Qassam Brigades, said the group offered a “comprehensive deal” to free all hostages. But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his far-right cabinet rejected the proposal.

Abu Obeida claimed the Israeli government shows no real interest in the hostages, most of whom are soldiers. Hamas wants the fighting to stop, Israeli forces to leave Gaza, and humanitarian aid to enter freely.

The ceasefire talks, held indirectly in Qatar, have stalled. Hamas warned it will not accept smaller deals, including a 60-day truce that could free 10 hostages. About 50 captives remain in Gaza, but only 20 are believed alive.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump said at a White House event that 10 more hostages would be freed soon. However, no clear progress has been reported so far.

In his message, Abu Obeida said Hamas is prepared for a long battle. He added that attacks on Israeli troops would continue across Gaza. He also criticized Arab and Islamic leaders for staying silent about the deaths in Gaza.

Israel continues to control key areas in Gaza, blocking aid and causing civilian deaths. Reports say Israeli forces have stopped food aid and have killed Palestinians near aid distribution points.

Plans to build a detention center on the ruins of Rafah have caused more international criticism. Since the conflict began in October 2023, over 58,600 Palestinians have died. Thousands more have been injured.

The situation remains tense, with no immediate end in sight to the violence or hostage crisis. Talks continue, but the path to peace is still uncertain.
