Important instructions have been issued for Pakistani pilgrims planning to perform Hajj in 2027. The government has banned direct payments to private Hajj operators under the private scheme.
Booking under the Private Hajj Scheme 2027 has officially begun. For the first time, pilgrims will complete booking, package selection and payments through official government platforms.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs said all transactions must be completed through the Pak Hajj App or the official Hajj portal. Pilgrims will also select their private Hajj companies through these platforms.
Direct payments to private Hajj operators or unauthorized agents will not be accepted. The government has issued the warning to protect pilgrims from possible fraud and unauthorized transactions.
Officials have advised applicants to avoid making payments to individuals or agents outside the official system. Any pilgrim who pays an unauthorized person will be responsible for the consequences.
Under the Private Hajj Scheme 2027, a total of 71,696 Pakistani pilgrims will be allowed to perform Hajj. The government has already received strong interest from applicants.
More than 105,000 people have so far registered through the Pak Hajj App. The number shows significant demand among Pakistani citizens planning to perform the pilgrimage next year.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has also clarified the status of private Hajj operators. Currently, 25 private Hajj companies are registered and authorized by the ministry.
Only packages offered by these 25 authorized companies will be available through the official Hajj portal and Pak Hajj App. Pilgrims are advised to verify company details before selecting a package.
The new digital system is aimed at making the private Hajj booking process more transparent. It will also allow the government to monitor payments and package selections through a centralized system.
Pilgrims will be able to review available packages through the official platforms. They can then select an authorized company and complete the required payment through the designated system.
The government has repeatedly warned applicants against dealing with unauthorized Hajj agents. Direct payments outside the official system could leave pilgrims without effective protection in case of disputes.
The new procedure also places greater responsibility on applicants to use verified channels. Pilgrims should avoid relying on unofficial advertisements, individuals or companies that are not listed on the government platforms.
