The Ministry of Religious Affairs will begin collecting fees for Hajj 2026 from registered pilgrims in early August. This fee collection is part of the Government Hajj Scheme 2026 and will follow the usual two-installment payment plan.
Officials confirmed the first installment will range between Rs500,000 and Rs550,000. Only pilgrims who have registered will be allowed to pay. The fee collection will operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
Currently, over 450,000 people have registered for Hajj 2026, which far exceeds Pakistan’s official quota of 179,210 pilgrims for government and private schemes combined. Because of this high demand, Pakistan is requesting an increase in its Hajj quota to 230,000 pilgrims to better match population growth and interest.
Once the fee collection meets the allocated quota, the payment process will stop. This system ensures fairness for all applicants and helps the government manage the Hajj arrangements effectively.
The Ministry aims to provide a smooth and transparent process for pilgrims preparing for Hajj. Officials have urged all registered applicants to submit their fees promptly to secure their spot for this important religious journey.
The Hajj pilgrimage remains a key spiritual event for Muslims worldwide, including Pakistan. The government’s efforts to improve the registration and fee collection process are aimed at making Hajj accessible and organized for Pakistani pilgrims.
With the early start of fee collection and the push for a higher quota, more Pakistanis hope to participate in Hajj 2026. The Ministry of Religious Affairs will continue to monitor the process and update pilgrims with relevant information as the season approaches.
