A grand Change of Guard ceremony took place at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on Thursday (August 14) to commemorate Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day.
Well-turned-out cadets from the Pakistan Naval Academy took over ceremonial guard duties, replacing the previous contingent. The Pakistan Navy’s guard comprised two units — sailors and cadets — with the sailors’ platoon led by Lieutenant Ali Hassan and the cadets’ platoon commanded by Chief Cadet Captain Muhammad Zain.
Commandant Pakistan Naval Academy Commodore Tassawar Iqbal attended as chief guest, while parade commander duties were handled by Lieutenant Commander Samiullah. The Navy guards presented a national salute to the Father of the Nation.
In Lahore, cadets of Punjab Rangers handed over duties to the Pakistan Army during the Change of Guard ceremony at the mausoleum of Allama Iqbal.
