The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has officially approved the construction of two new international airports in Sukkur and Muzaffarabad, signaling a major step forward in expanding the country’s aviation infrastructure.
Sources confirmed on Tuesday that a dedicated committee has been formed to oversee the land acquisition process for both projects. The PAA’s Works and Development Department has already initiated preliminary activities on the sites.

To ensure high standards in design and execution, the PAA plans to enlist the services of experienced consultants and technical experts. The combined cost of the Sukkur and Muzaffarabad airports is expected to run into billions of rupees.
