Road to Naran Reopens After 5-Month Closure Due to Snowfall
MANSEHRA – After a long five-month closure caused by heavy snowfall, the road to Naran has finally reopened, bringing relief to locals and tourism stakeholders. Progress Toward Babusar Top Underway
While access to Naran has been restored, work is still ongoing to open the road further towards Babusar Top—the critical summer passageway to Gilgit-Baltistan. According to the Mansehra District Police Officer, teams are working diligently to ensure full access soon.
Tourism Preparations Near Completion
Tourism authorities have stated that arrangements for visitors are expected to be completed within the next three days. In the meantime, travelers have been advised to delay visits until weather conditions stabilize and necessary facilities are in place.

Seasonal Shift from Winter Silence to Summer Buzz
Every winter, heavy snowfall isolates Naran and cuts off public access. However, as summer approaches, the town transforms into a vibrant tourist hub, offering cool temperatures, lush greenery, and alpine charm. Tourist activities typically continue until autumn, when snowfall once again halts road access.
Travelers planning a visit are encouraged to check weather updates and road conditions before setting out.
