Grand Mosques in Makkah and Madinah Welcomed Over 122 Million Worshippers During Ramadan

During the holy month of Ramadan, the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah welcomed a total of 122,286,712 visitors, according to Eng. Ghazi Al-Shahrani, CEO of the General Authority for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques.

Al-Shahrani reported that:

  • 16,558,241 individuals performed Umrah.
  • 92,132,169 worshippers visited the Grand Mosque in Makkah.
  • 30,154,543 worshippers gathered at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.

Extending his Eid Al-Fitr greetings, Al-Shahrani expressed gratitude to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman, and Crown Prince & Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman. He also appreciated the efforts of those who contributed to serving the guests of Allah, praying for their efforts to be rewarded.
