The Finance Division has announced that petrol prices will remain unchanged, while high-speed diesel (HSD) has been increased for the latter half of September.
As per the notification, petrol will stay at Rs. 264.61 per litre, whereas HSD has risen by Rs. 2.78 to Rs. 272.77 per litre.
In the previous revision, the government had reduced HSD by Rs. 3 per litre to Rs. 269.99, while petrol was kept at Rs. 264.61. At that time, superior kerosene oil was cut by Rs. 1.46 to Rs. 176.81 per litre and light diesel oil by Rs. 2.40 to Rs. 159.76.
