On Sunday, the federal government announced a significant reduction in petroleum product prices, marking the fourth consecutive decrease in as many fortnightly reviews.
Effective from September 16, the new prices are:
- Petrol: Reduced by Rs. 10 per liter to Rs. 249.10
- High-Speed Diesel: Reduced by Rs. 13.06 per liter to Rs. 249.69
- Kerosene: Reduced by Rs. 11.15 per liter to Rs. 158.47
- Light Diesel Oil: Reduced by Rs. 12.12 per liter to Rs. 141.93
The price cuts are attributed to a continued decline in international oil prices, which have fallen below $70 per barrel, while the Pakistani Rupee remains stable at 278 against the US dollar.
