The Director General of Sports Punjab, Pervez Iqbal, has announced plans to build a state-of-the-art stadium in Mian Channu, the hometown of Pakistan’s Olympic gold medalist, Arshad Nadeem, following his historic victory at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The decision comes in recognition of Nadeem’s remarkable achievement in winning the gold medal in the javelin throw event, marking a significant milestone for Pakistan in the international sports arena. The meeting between the DG Sports Punjab and Arshad Nadeem celebrated this extraordinary feat, with Iqbal praising Nadeem as “the true hero and role model of Pakistan.”
