The Sindh government has reduced the upper age limit for government jobs from 43 years to 33 years, effective from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026. Previously, the age limit was 28 years with a relaxation of 15 years, but now it has been revised to 28 years with only a 5-year relaxation.

The Sindh chief secretary issued the new order after cabinet approval, confirming that the new age limit applies to all government jobs except the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE). However, this change will not affect recruitments in the Sindh Police and Public Service Commission.
In February, the Sindh cabinet had approved the University Amendment Bill, increasing the age limit for government jobs by five years. The decision comes after a prolonged ban on government jobs in Sindh and aims to regulate employment criteria more strictly.
